Bootcamp
Requirements:
- OSX Mavericks (10.9.4)
- Support software (drivers etc): http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1720 (make sure it's the right version for your hardware)
- Windows install media (either a DVD or ISO) for Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 - 64 bit and non-Enterprise version
If using an ISO, you would need either an 8GB USB stick or an isostick with at least an 8GB micro-SD card.
If not using an isostick, you will also need a 2GB USB stick for the support software. If you are using an isostick, simply copy the support software into the top level of the isostick.

Step 1
Run Boot Camp Assistant (Applications -> Utilities).
If you get an error about the startup disk has to be a single partition, it means that you have extra partitions on the disk and it doesn't like it. See http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5383 for information about which partitions are ok.
Step 2
Boot Camp Assistant (BCA) may give you 2 options, or 3 options.
Create a Windows 7 or later version install disk
The first option is the one that disappears under certain circumstances and allows BCA to create the Windows install media on a USB stick for you. If you already have an isostick with the ISO mounted, or have a proper DVD, or have already created a USB stick with the Windows install media, this option is not required and can be unticked if present.
Download the latest Windows support software from Apple
If you have already downloaded the support software from the URL above, you can untick this. Just make sure you have copied the contents of the zip file onto the 2GB USB stick (or top level of the isostick micro-SD card).
Install or remove Windows 7 or later version
If this option is greyed out, you're pretty much stuck and something is wrong that needs fixing before you can continue. This is the only one that is definitely needed for a fresh install of Windows via Boot Camp.
